The Nashville Charter Collaborative (NCC) is thrilled to announce the official launch of the Charter Athletic League (CAL) for the 2026-2027 school year!
Formerly known as the Davidson County Charter School League (DCCSL), this unified organization has officially become a formalized program of the NCC. The Charter Athletic League was created to expand access to high-quality sports opportunities for middle school students across Nashville’s charter schools. Guided by the motto “Create Your Legacy,” CAL encourages every participant to take pride in their growth, effort, and impact both on and off the field. Athletics are a vital extension of the educational experience—developing character, leadership, and community alongside athletic skill.
Following ongoing engagement with school leaders and athletic directors, CAL is entering the upcoming school year with strong momentum:
